Sales Executive Profiling
Based in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire, Abram Pulman & Sons Ltd (Est 1830) are a Steel Stockholder and Processor supplying steel products across the whole of the Yorkshire and Lancashire areas, where an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy work force and become part of the successful Pulmans team.Role and responsibilities:
• Drives new business by identification and research into new sales opportunities.
• Builds and maintains contact databases.
• Establish contact and develop relationships with prospects.
• Maintains relationships with existing clients
• Provide regular, ongoing information on new products and services.
• Actively following up all quotations raised and providing feedback
• Gathering general customer feedback, market activities and competitor information
• Contributes to sales team effort by meeting individual and team sales targets & Gross Margin targets.

As a Combilift Driver, your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient movement of steel plates within the yard. You will be responsible for supplying materials to the profile, laser, and ESAB departments, unloading deliveries from suppliers, and managing the scrap skip. You will liaise with the scrap supplier to ensure the timely removal of scrap materials. The role requires careful handling of heavy plates and the use of a C8000 LPG Combilift forklift.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating the C8000 LPG Combilift to transport steel plates, including plates up to 180mm thick, to the appropriate departments (profiling, laser, and ESAB).
- Unloading deliveries from suppliers and ensuring materials are stored correctly.
- Managing the scrap skip, ensuring it is organised and properly disposed of.
- Liaising with the scrap supplier to ensure the scrap collection is carried out in a timely manner.
- Reporting any issues with the Combilift or equipment to the appropriate team members for maintenance.
- Ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials as required.
- Maintaining safety standards in line with company protocols.
- Supporting the Profile Manager and Supervisors with any additional tasks related to the movement of materials.
Skills and Requirements:
- Proven experience operating a C8000 LPG Combilift or similar forklift.
- Experience handling and moving heavy steel plates, including up to 180mm thick.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment.
- Forklift certification (C8000 or equivalent) is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Late Shift Details:
- Hours of Work: 39 hours per week
- Monday – Thursday: 1:50 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Friday: 12:50 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Includes a 30-minute paid lunch break and a 10-minute unpaid break
- Note: Shift hours may be subject to change based on business requirements.

CNC Operator

- Develop and optimize CNC programs for HAAS machine using G-Code and M-Code languages
- Prepare and set up CNC machines for production runs including loading raw materials and parts
- operate CNC machines for tasks such as drilling, grinding and milling
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings and maintenance activities
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator and Programmer, specifically with HAAS machines
- Proficiency in G-Code and M-Code programming
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and precision in machining
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred
- Forklift Licence desirable but but not essential
Hours of Work
Monday-Thursday 6am to 2.10pm
Friday 6am to 1.10pm
30 minute paid lunch break, 10 minute unpaid break
The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in CNC machine operations, have a solid understanding of programming and be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. You should also be committed to adhering to safety protocols and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
